I first met Thomas almost 20 years ago. I was only I first met Thomas almost 20 years ago. I was only 11 years old and somehow ended up opening one of his DJ sets. (Yes... legally 😂 My dad actually had to get special permission from the local authorities so I could perform.) Ever since that day, Thomas has been much more than a friend. He’s been my mentor. He’s the one who taught me how to make my own music. We’ve released a few tracks and remixes together over the years, but this is actually our first collaboration in almost a decade. It was Thomas who suggested revisiting « The Real Thing » by Tony Di Bart ! We’re very excited to finally share Eyes Across Th We’re very excited to finally share Eyes Across The Room ✨ About a year ago, Derrick McKenzie came over to my studio in Lille for a few days and we started working on our first record together, with Charles Delecluse on guitars. We then sent the track to Sarina Voorn (Another Taste), who brought the song to life with her topline and vocals, while Matt Johnson added his signature Rhodes and keys touch. “Like A Prayer” just passed 8 MILLION streams on S “Like A Prayer” just passed 8 MILLION streams on Spotify. ❤️ The story behind this track goes back to late 2014. A few months after the release of Bad Boys Cry, Andrew and Mike from Nervous Records invited me to be part of a tribute compilation dedicated to the legendary Sound Factory club in New York. Among the songs proposed for the project was “Like A Prayer”. And honestly… there was no way I could say no. Madonna has been my biggest inspiration since childhood. I saw her live for the first time in Paris during the Drowned World Tour in 2001 when I was 6 years old, and I’m pretty sure that night changed my life forever. So years later, getting the chance to reinterpret one of her most iconic songs felt very special. Almost 11 years later, seeing this version still growing and reaching 8 million streams is pretty incredible. Thank you to everyone still listening to it today 🖤 @nervousrecords
